Our Commitment to Intellectual Property Rights

Machinence Ltd. respects the intellectual property rights of others, and we expect our users to do the same. We prohibit users from uploading, posting or otherwise transmitting on this website or by use of any of our services any materials that violate another party's intellectual property rights.

It is our policy, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, to disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who may repeatedly infringe or violate the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of any party.

1. UK Copyright Law and How We Handle Complaints

Copyright in the United Kingdom is protected by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. Machinence hosts the websites, stores and other material our customers publish. Under the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002, once we are told that material we host infringes someone's rights, we act quickly to remove it or disable access to it. This page explains how to tell us and what happens next (notice and takedown).

Notice: This policy applies to all content uploaded, posted, or shared through Machinence's services at panel.machinence.io, including websites, online stores, social media posts, blog content, images, and any other materials created or published using our platform.

2. Making a Copyright Complaint

If you believe material on a site or service hosted by Machinence infringes your copyright, email us (Section 3) and include:

• Your name, postal address, email address and telephone number, and whether you are the copyright owner or act on their behalf
• The work you say has been infringed
• Where the material is: the web address, and where on the page, in enough detail for us to find it
• Why you believe its use is not permitted, for example that no licence was given and no exception (such as quotation, criticism, review or news reporting) applies
• A statement that the information in your complaint is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them

Important: Please make sure your complaint is accurate. Under UK law, a person who makes a knowingly false or bad faith complaint can be liable for the loss it causes, including legal costs.

3. Where to Send a Complaint

4. If Your Material Was Removed

If you believe material of yours was removed or disabled by mistake, or that you have the right to use it, email legal@machinence.io with the subject "Copyright response" and include:

• Your name, address, email address and telephone number
• The material that was removed and where it was
• Why you believe it was removed by mistake, or why you are entitled to use it (for example, a licence or an exception)

We may restore the material, or pass your response to the person who complained so that you can resolve it between you or, if necessary, through the courts of England and Wales.

5. Repeated Infringement

We may suspend or close the account of a customer who repeatedly publishes infringing material, and we may limit or close an account after a single serious infringement.

We consider the number of valid complaints we have received, how serious the infringement is, and whether the customer has tried in good faith to put things right.

6. Your Responsibilities

6.1 Content Ownership

When using our Service, you represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary licences, rights, consents, and permissions to use and authorise Machinence to use all content you upload, create, or publish.

6.2 Third-Party Content

You must not upload, post, or publish:

• Content that infringes copyright, trademarks, patents, or other intellectual property rights
• Copyrighted images, videos, music, or text without proper authorisation or licence
• Trademarked logos, brand names, or designs without permission
• Plagiarised content or content copied from other sources without attribution

6.3 AI-Generated Content

Whilst our AI tools generate original content, you are responsible for ensuring that any prompts you provide and the resulting content do not infringe third-party rights. AI-generated content should be reviewed and verified before publication.

6.4 Stock Images and Media

If you use stock images, videos, or other media from third-party sources (including those suggested by our platform), you must ensure you have the appropriate licence or permission to use them commercially.

7. What We Do When We Receive a Complaint

• We check that the complaint is clear and complete, and may ask for more information
• Where it is, we remove or disable the material promptly, usually within two working days
• We tell the customer who published it, with the reason, and how to respond (Section 4)
• We keep a record of the complaint for Section 5

A complaint that is unclear, or that we believe is made in bad faith, may be refused, and we tell the person who made it why.

8. Machinence's Intellectual Property

The Machinence platform, including its software, design, code, features, documentation, logos, trademarks, and all other elements, are the exclusive property of Machinence Ltd. and are protected by UK and international copyright, trademark, patent, and other intellectual property laws.

Protected Elements Include:

• The Machinence name, logo, and branding
• Software code, algorithms, and architecture
• User interface designs and layouts
• Documentation, help articles, and training materials
• AI models and training data (where applicable)
• Website templates and design elements

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our express written permission. Unauthorised use may result in account termination and legal action.
